Reese M. Strickland
If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around my camera. ~ Lewis Hine
Reese’s work has consistently graced the pages of clients like ESPN (magazine and web site), Sports Illustrated, Upper Deck Trader Cards, Rolling Stone, LiveNation, WireImage, Fox Sports, CBS Sportsline, USA Today, GQ and even Playboy (it was a sports article).
His subjects have recognizable faces, such as Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, AC/DC, KISS, Brett Favre, Lance Armstrong, Curtis Stone and Andrew Zimmern.
Reese has spent the past three years traveling county-to-county on the gravel roads of Iowa, photographing country schools. His camera of choice is his iPhone, and his motivation comes from memories of his mom. The project has been on going and had many changes over time. He hopes to have a show sometime in 2016.
When Reese is not at work, you will find him with his wife Lynda and their five children or shooting pictures with his drone.
As for Reese’s favorite event he has documented? It’s probably volunteering his time to shoot the Miss Wheelchair America Pageant.
